Types of users

There are two types of users:

  • Regular users: Users accessing Creativebrief content, tools and functions such as the alerts and notifications, pinboards, agency lists, messages and events hub. 
  • Admin users: Users responsible for managing the account. They have access to admin pages in the account settings including people and statistics and the admin only tools including the projects tool. They also have access to all the same content, tools and features as regular users. 

There is no limit to the amount of admin users. 


Managing users: add a new user


Go to your 'Account Settings' and select the 'People' page

You have to be an admin user to access the people page. To be granted admin permissions speak to your agency profile admin or email our brand team


Click 'Add member'

Type the email address of the new user in the field

Select 'Add member'

A confirmation banner will appear at the top of the window

If you receive this message 'A user with this email already exists' the email address has already been added to the Creativebrief platform. If they aren't in the list of users in the people section, please email our brand team for further help 

Managing users: remove a user

Go to your 'Account Settings' and select the 'People' page

Click 'Manage' next to the user you'd like to remove's name

Select 'Remove user from brand'

It's important to remove users from the account if they no longer work at your company as they can still access potentially confidential information relating to projects


Managing users: pending requests

Go to your 'Account Settings' and select the 'People' page

Select the 'Pending' tab

The 'Requests to join' section includes new user requests to join the account user list, whereas 'Pending invites' include invites that you have sent out and are yet to be accepted

Managing users: changing a users permission from admin or regular

Go to your 'Account Settings' and select the 'People' page

Click 'Manage' next to the user you'd like to change their permissions

Select the appropriate option for the user

  • Select 'Admin' to change the user to have admin permissions
  • Deselect 'Admin' for the user to be a regular user

Managing users: user stats 

Go to your 'Account Settings' and select the 'People' page

Click 'Stats' next to the users name to view the user stats

The number of users is linked to your membership package, if you've reached capacity please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or email our brand team to upgrade the membership package.
